Hi

I'm hoping someone can help me here...

Just bought a Samaung d500 off ebay and discovered that it's locked to Orange (hadn't noticed that bit in the ad).

Does anyone know how to unlock this phone or do I need to go down Tottenham Court Rd?

TIA

Your local market trader can unlock it for about a tenner

unlocking any phone requires a special cable. It costs less to go to the market for the unlock than the cable costs.

You should be able to find some freeware on the web. I've used www.btinternet.com/~unlocksmith/guide4.html to unlock several Orange Nokias and no you don't need a cable.

A site that I've used in the past www.gsmpedro.com/ tells how to do it - for some phones you need a cable, for others a simple code does the job. Click on "Guides de deblockage" on the left and look for your phone.

They don't list a Samsung D500 unfortunately, but for example to unblock an S500 just turn it on without a SIM card in and type in *2767*688#

Nope I've trawled the internet and can't find one for this phone. I really want to get it sorted today as I'm off on holiday tomorrow and need the phone. Can't get to a market either today....looks like i'm buggered.
