Very odd indeed. I look at an old embryology book which had details of all the varieties of siamese twinning and "duplex monsters". Very very disturbed indeed. According to a midwife, unequal twins are more common, caused by a unequal bias of blood flow. If you are curious about this, the University of Utah has an excellent web resource for all this stuff.

According to my text, you can actually have a twin inside you. I find this sort of stuff very interesting!

Ever seen the film "Alien"? Not one to watch if you're pregnant.

Anyway, much to my wife's astonishment (almost to her irritation) I have a technique of discerning the gender of the baby. It is, I guess, over 80% reliable - and I'm not joking. If your bump is, kind of, "pointed" I predict a boy. And if it's "rounder" then it will be a girl. However, you need to be at least 7 months before you can really tell. You see if I'm right.

Thats just bizarre. In some ways it's worse than those kids who have their 'twin' inside them. Is anybody else thinking of the rebel ruler (Quatto IIRC) from Total Recall?
