I haven't watched it for a while, but yesterday the kids wanted to see it, so we all watched it again.

I have to say I think it's a great family film. I even find myself getting a little emotional as Truman (Jim Carrie) finally "escapes".

I really like that film. Thought it was weird when I first saw it but then I saw it again and thought it was great.

I suppose being a "girlie" it was a bit hard to understand the first time. (I'm being ironic, by the way.)

Thank you for pointing that out. I would have missed it otherwise.

Good Film-one of the very few good movies with Jim Carey in-Funnily enough because it didn't have him gurning madly every two seconds.

he's a great actor when he's not in that mode; Eternal Sunshine, Man In The Moon etc.

I can't stand that Carey fella, but I liked this film. Very clever.

The only other film of his that is bearable is Bruce Almighty. I actually found myself laughing.

I liked the Truman Show and his other semi serious film, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I think he'll be great as Walter Mitty.

Managed to be serious but also very funny in places. My fave bit is when he picks up his wife and goes to leave the town in his car. Suddenly there is traffic everywhere.

I thought it was quite moving when he got on the coach to Chicago and (predictably) the coach broke down. It looked like the driver genuinely felt sorry for Truman as he asked him to get off.

Best thing about Bruce Allmighty is Morgan Freeman's role as God, especially the 'how many fingers am I holding up?' scene.

How can you not like the "slinky" gag in one of the Pet Detective movies (can't remember which one)?

Usually when I mention the Truman Show I get slated for liking it, ok so its not a great film but I love the concept. I hate the Big Brother series but this is Big Brother on a grand scale.

Can I just ask you to do one thing, have a look around and see if you can see any cameras, you cant can you, because they are so well hidden .

Ace Ventura-Pet detective

It's films like that that give Children's Movies a bad name.

I couldn't get into that movie - it was funny in places but it didn't hit the buttons for me. I was watching it and thinking: "I want to like this movie but I can't". Then it hit me, it's because I can't imagine Jennifer Aniston as any other character than who she play in "Friends".
