I'm confused. Every so often a car comes up that has a full description, a good seller feedback yet no-one bids as it's too cheap.

Call me stupid - but what's the scam?

I don't know but I'm guessing that asking to be on the approved buyers list will mean you agreeing to pay £10000 above the Buy-It-Now price or something, to minimise listing costs.

Apologies to the eBayer concerned if I am unnecessarily cynical

Haven't seen that before - or the bit that says 'traffic limit exceeded' for the picture. I would guess that he's using eBay as a shop window but prefers to do the sale privately, ie outside eBay. You can alway ask him.

Had he started the auction at £4.99, he'd have saved even more - £5.00 is the next breakpoint!
