It's my money. I work hard for it. What right have they got to take more than half off it off me to mis-spend? I could buy the same services they offer for a fraction of the price in a free market.

1) Politicians that become lazy and disasociated from the electorate after the election.

2) Politicians that have few original / novel ideas, and that value them less because they think that the electorate won't like them.

3) Politicians that are unable to see the difference between a valuable novel idea, and a valueless media stunt.

1 Tax

2 Rampant expansion of the public sector leading to all manner of power devolved into the hands of unelected Labour cronies

3 General Labour mendacity: the whole "say black is white" loud enough and repeat it often enough and enough people will believe it or not care whether it is true or not. No, you have not managed the economy prudently, Gordon Brown. You have miscalculated tax receipts for several years and built up a massive deficit. You have not reduced unemployment, but merely created over a million new public sector jobs. That is just a more expensive way of having the state and our taxes support the unemployed and unemployable than paying them the dole.
