Personally I'd like to throw something at Bush and it wouldn't be shoes.

I've noticed this for some time. Plus sometimes their dumbing down almost reaches ITV News at 10 proportions

Beating? I thought it was called intense questioning.
I think without western eyes watching that chap would have vanished or 'accidentally' hung himself.

Muntader al-Zaidi has been charged with "aggression against a president"

Sounds like Chief Wiggum

The BBC shouldn't be on any side.

It's possible that his mates beat him up, with his consent, to make a point to the world.

TBH, I think if he'd thrown his shoes at Saddam Hussain whilst he was in office, the journo would be dead by now.

Whilst respecting your opinion I find it a little strange how people keep putting up this 'If Saddam had been in power' stuff. If Saddam had been in power, any journalist against Saddam would not be in a press conference given by him.

By logic that must be a thinly veiled insult, aimed at my personal belief that we'd all be suffering not just financial turmoil, but a global increase in radioactive fallout, had we not intervened.

My beliefs aside, my logic for this is simple. You don't have to be in a press conference with Saddam Hussain, to throw shoes at him. Sadly, no-one is ever going to get the opportunity to do that now.

The BBC unwittingly broadcasts vast amounts of pro-terrorist propaganda. They think it's news.

I actually saw the footage and was waiting for the three seconds later after the first shoe when two Secret Service officers took him out......... I was surprised there was no "hostile" action taken immediately.....

I wonder if the $2 Trillion we'd have saved might have helped save the economy? And radioactive fallout, didn't you hear, he didn't have WMD's... biggrin

Absolutely. Every time the government removes another freedom in the name of 'anti-terror', they fulfill another aim of the terrorists.

Like any bully, they are worthless when they're ignored and powerful when they're given attention.

Why not?
They contributed to us winning the WW2 did they not?
