MsTinman went to yoga earlier this morning and filled up on the way. Apparently she must have dropped her credit card. That was 2 hours ago.

When she got back, an email from the credit card company was waiting saying "dodgy activity". She logs in online and there are 3 prepaid phone tops up already on the account! Card then gets cancelled on the spot and the dodgy charges are removed.

All done and dusted from losing, to being used fraudulently, to being notified, to being cancelled in under 2 hours in fact! I imagine there is a certain person in Walmart right now loading a trolley and about to get a bit of a shock.

I hear phone topups are the usual to see if the card is good for bigger spending. Good job on stopping it pronto

WTF ? An e-mail ? Have the card companies learnt nothing ?
