Well we've done the how long could you last and how much do you earn threads but how much do you all spend per month or per week.
I frightened myself recently realising we as a family need around £2400 a month to pay for everything - mortgage -loans,food,council tax that's £600 squid a week. Bloody hell yikes Is that a lot?

No, I need about the same, possibly a little more and there's only one of me.

I do have expensive needs though.

For two of us, all in, about £900 a month. That's all about to change though 'cause she called time on the relationship this evening! (I started a separate thread about that).

if you have a small mortgage then it is a lot IMO and you could cut down further

My last one was only about £80, a beautiful hand made nylon 5'4" bullwhip. It was cheap because of the odd length, the maker having balls up when cutting the strands and couldn't produce the 6ft that was being aimed at, and it wouldn't have worked well as a whip if only 5' due to the length of the core. Bought that six months ago and haven't bought anything else since.

I do get through quite a lot of rope though wink

£2400?? Jaysus, I thought we were bad at £1200, but we have no loans, just a mortgage (overpaying £200) and the usual council tax, insurances, etc. Mind you, gas and leccy are on top of that.

what's wrong with that?

it's not as if you're wasting it - why not eat well rather than eat rubbish food?

Is £2400 a lot? That's all relative to the individual/couples earnings.
