Gotta feel a bit sorry for them.

An eight year sentence there is as good as a death sentence.

It is a little bit satisfying to think of a UK chav hard man (involved in a previous machete incident) blubbing when confronted by genuinely hard cases.

I said a bit sorry.

Jeez, I am not that comfortable in the Marriott in Venezuela, let alone some hell-hole gaol.

A mate of mine found himself in jail in Mexico for only a few days and almost didn't make it out.

So, what would your survival techniques be? Apparently the best way is to act like a double-hard knife-slashing, razor-eating, head-butting bd. Chances of me pulling it off? Not great.

walk up to the hardest man there and kill him/give BJ

other than that die.

Mind you I'm sure its bad but the press do have a tendancy to exagerate to make the story sound better.

Also I am not buying her story one bit. did she not get susspicious about the suitcases? have you ever known a woman go on holiday and not know every mm of the friging case?

also have you ever know a woman go on holiday with an ex and leave the current BF behind? I call BS

Jesus wept, they are like a pair of kids caught up in the grown ups world, coming from a country were crime has little consequence then crying like a pair of bhes when having to face up to real punishment else where. If only the British legal system commanded this sort of respect we wouldn't have to share our country with fkwits like these.

Obviously there has been some mistake. For aminute I thought he was one of those 'orrible drug smugglers, but it seems this nice chap was only smuggling illegal diamonds.

Nope. Couple of cretins. Got what they deserved. Now the Venezuelans get to look after them for a few years.

The kids are to be given over to their close family according to the article, certainly beats being dragged up by this pair of greedy mouth breathers.

Still doesn't mean it's all smiles and happiness for them though, does it?

I fully support the banging up of the parents. Let the fkers rot. I just feel sad for the kids that they should have parents as thick / greedy / lazy / ignorant as to take them along on their smugglers jolly.

From various sources

"Paul Makin was due to attend Liverpool Crown Court on February 9 accused of carrying a machete and affray."

Seems he went on holiday to skip a court appearance, bet he wishes he had stayed now - well, it's one less for us to pay for. She seems bright biggrin, natural selection at work again. Pity for the kids though.
