Commuting by train, Brighton to Victoria.
Discussion
Odd question for a car site but does anyone on this site use the Brighton to Victoria line to commute daily? My son, who is on it every day, has heard about an action group being set up to voice more strongly the feelings about the endless delays/cancellations/breakdowns/overcrowding etc. He's Googled but can't find any further information!
It is probably a story heard the country over, but it seems to be particularly bad down here.

Who operates that line? I use South Eastern every day and it's getting worse by the week.
Realistically the only thing you can do is become a shareholder and try to make a fuss at the AGM.
Southern (Brighton to Vic) and SouthEastern (and also now London Midland) are owned by the same conglomerate: Go Via.Realistically the only thing you can do is become a shareholder and try to make a fuss at the AGM.

If you want to go to an AGM, you'll need to buy shares in Go-Ahead.
Used this route for 2.5yrs, mostly to London Bridge in the mornings then back from Victoria in the evenings. Recently much worse than it has been.... to the point where I've now started driving instead.
Park at North Greenwich tube station, one stop to Canary Wharf - Quicker for me than getting the 0601 from Brighton in the mornings and quicker getting home if I leave the car park by 5pm, not that much worse if leaving later either really. Costs the same/less if doing <5 days a week in London too.
...and who'd have thought my first post on here would be about trains(!)

I do, Three Bridges to either London Victoria or London Bridge at peak times - It's crap.
Lost count of the number of times I've had to wait in the weatherspoons at Victoria and fill myself with beer because they trains are farked! Life's tough eh?
Recently there's been quite a few rush-hour suicides though that have stopped all trains heading south of Victoria/London Bridge in the evenings.
I've only been doing the journey for 6 months but what annoys me more is the LITTLE f
