Ok....

Got an ipod shuffle for the gym, but the earphones are shocking! I can't even get them comfortable sitting in bed, let alone in the gym!

Can anyone recommend any good makes? The blackberry ones are great, but the apple ones fit badly.

Thanks all.

£35??? That is nearly as much as a 1GB Shuffle!

Where did you buy them from? That was Amazons price.

£50!!!

Christ, there was me thinking I could have a quality set for £15-£20.

Seems a bit steep to me...

Don't look up the shure units then tongue out

I think anything with the rubber plug design instead of the hard plastic would be better, some are around £15

I have some nike ones that i bought from the apple shop, the hook around your ears and are alot better than the standard ones that come with the iPod.

Sennheiser are the way to go. I've got the PX200's which are great and also the CX300's (in ear buds) and love those as well.

Neither would be much cop in the gym though I wouldn't have thought. I'd look at some that hook over the ear so any jumping around won't dislodge them.

TBH though if you're in the gym, sound quality isn't going to be a conducive environment for music.

Just get a set that don't fall out and aren't super cheap.

I'm not sold on expensive in-ear earphones really, because the environment has way too big an effect on what you're listening to, i know the sealed design helps but theres still all sorta of vibrations when you're doing anything other than sitting still at home (which is where i use my fab new sennheiser HD600s)

To be fair I am a sweaty bugger, and if I am doing a marathon cardio session in the gym for some reason one of my ears does hold a bit more sweat than others and partially blocks the sound out. They dry out for the next session, and have been fine for the last 6 months.

Just buy them!!

Philips work for me just don't step on them with bare feet. Almost as bad as an upturned three pin plug.

Phillips, in ear design with the soft rubber hook for over the ear work well enough for me, walking, jogging and doing chores round the house.

Another vote for the CX300 here - pretty much the best earphones for that sort of money. Though I owned a set of 'The Plug' made by 'Koss' a few years ago, and they were brilliant as well. Sadly they went walkabout, but might invest in replacement set now.

Nice cheap JVC jelly ones if its just for the gym, fit better than the ipod ones and are pretty much the same quality as them.
If you are running around and working out brilliant sound quality is irrelevent

Obviously if your an audiophile you may want to get some expensive jobbies but if its just for comfort and 'notfalloutabilty' they are recommended
