Anyone got any recommendations for buying the above online? We're going touring in Italy later in the year, and really want this kit as standby (or if the weather's really good!). Decent tent that you can stand up in, and a simple cooker & other bits and pieces is what we're after

jrleisure.co.uk

I bought a 9 man Vango Diablo XP900 for almost half price. Should have been £375, got it for £210. Some stores dotted about for collection to save on the £10ish postage. Trying it at Santa Pod at Easter and then the TT in June.

Decathalon is a great place to buy fairly good non branded kit. It tends to be very good value for money, however, beeing a camping geek and growing up in the mountains, then Cotswold is where it's at for me I'm afraid.

http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/ is also a great place to find some good online bargains.

I'm struggling to see how a tent and sleeping bag would be any good where you are. A hammock maybe, but a tent and sleeping bag??

biggrin

Cotswold is where its at??????

Only if you want to pay over the odds for everything!

If you must go to Cotswold, make sure you blag a discount, 10 - 15% is the norm.

The Outdoor Shop is my personal fave general outdoor shop.

I got all my camping gear last year from Amazon, gas stoves, camping tables, tents, sleeping bags, torches etc. I think there was a sale on at the time which helped, but the main thing was that they actually have customer reviews, so i wanted to check out if a 3 man tent was big enough, and waterproof enough for me, reviews were very helpful for that.

Get a coleman stove, they burn petrol and provide ferocious heat!
