As you move up and down the economic ladder I guess the ratio changes.
They can be irritating here too, a talk show host in Florida once singled out a particular group and nearly lost his job

When I lived there I found telling the odd loud one I was not deaf and could they reduce the volume a little worked perfectly well. You should've tried it.Why do they talk so damned loud? 3 hours in a car with an American person booming in my ear reduced me to near tears
