Any one watch crimewatch? Girl died in fire
Discussion
Well I have 2 girls exactly the same age as the 2 girls in the first reconstruction. When the girl went back to her bed and the dad fell off the roof i have never felt anything like it, i just broke down and left all my masculinity at the door. Absolutely heart braking.
Any one else watch it?
I hope the scum bag who murdered her dies a very painful death.

It was tragic but I didn't find it upsetting.
It was just a bit odd regarding motive - who would want to torch a house with a family with no criminal connections or grievances?
Must have been the wrong house but still, shame on those responsible.
Oh, and I pity the fool on Crimewatch who kept cocking up the sound on all the reconstructions

Bloody tragic, I can't imagine anyone doing that without some kind of motive.....even then. Didn't ayone else feel that the family had pissed someone off in a major way?
Unfortunately, but by no means always, there will be something in the background that will be cause for a motive. It would be very unusual for this to be a totally motiveless random attack. However that in no way makes it any less horrific or sad, and whoever did it should be set on fire themselves!!As an aside that bit of fabric they found looks very much ike a piece of a Dominos Pizza coat.
Certainly heartbreaking, but you have to ask yourself why that house? was it just random attack or was there something behind it?? I've rarely heard of people setting fire to houses where there wasn't a motive......sounds harsh i know.
Must have been hard for the dad when he slipped and fell and broke his ankles, but surely he would have still tried to get back on roof (inaccurate re-construction) i've played football on a snapped leg before so know you can still walk/run when addrenaline is there.

A hard working family, with all the trappings that hard work brings = Jealousy ?
Confused with another house ?
Just general nastiness and victims of an oppurtunist arsonist and an easy target. Although down a cul de sac is that a path or open ground at the side of the house for an easy getaway ?

They do say that the super-emotional part of one's psyche is switched on when one has children and I'm not saying that those who cried, etc are over-reacting.
I do think it was tragic and I feel for the family immensely.

I cried, and I don't have (nor want) kids
I hope they catch & hang him!
Same here - I tried very hard not to shed a tear but failed. I also went when seeing the pictures of the old chap who was beaten and robbed in his home!
I hope they catch & hang him!
He made me cry too
