Just been out for a walk for an hour or so. After returning home I started with toothache which has now become unbearable. I've experienced this many times - basically I have sensitive teeth which react badly to the change of temperature when I've been out in the cold and come back into the warm. Does anyone else experience this and what do you do for the pain?

No, I have a check-up every six months and my teeth are in perfect condition other than the sensitivity which I've had for years.

Already using Sensodyne. It helps a lot but doesn't seem to overcome the pain I get when I enter a warm environment from a cold one.

Do you eat a lot of fruit? Acidic stuff?

No, I have an intolerance of acidic stuff so I don't have much of it at all.

Mouthful of whisky. Don't swallow it. Just hold it in your mouth for two minutes then spit it out.
No more toothache.

Blimey! That was an experience hehe

Not sure if the toothache has actually gone or if it's simply that I can no longer feel the inside of my mouth!

Use Sensodyne as already said, but don't rinse out afterwards to leave a coating on your teeth. Also, this is very helpful:

Tooth Moose Got mine from my dentist and it works magnificently smile

I was advised the same by my dentist.
