Ok, the great and good of PH. The Mrs and I have a week off in March and fancy doing something other than just wondering around the house and shopping. We live in London so fancy getting out and about.

It's an holiday to use up some days which would otherwise be lost, so we don't want to spend a fortune and want to stay in the UK. We go to Scotland a couple of times a year, so would probably stay south of the border - perhaps the South West/Devon/Cornwall as I've never been (I also have a red letter Tank Driving day to use which is somewhere in the West Country).

Any ideas where to go and stay, or where to avoid? Perhaps two or three places over 4 or 5 days, staying in sensibly priced (but nice) hotels.

We don't want nightlife, aside from country pubs and some picturesque places to visit would be nice.

Build me an itinery PH!

You could give the Isle of Wight a try. Easy run down the A3 and you go by ferry so it feels like you're going on a proper holiday! wink

You could stay in one of these:

It's usually a bit warmer than the mainland and a bit sunnier and you could do a bit of sailing of take a RIB out or there are plenty of walks and fishing.
