Yep my hotel overlooks Central Park and it looks great! More on the way apparently - heaviest snowfall for five years according to CNN.

Remind me again how much of your hard earned money is spent in taxes to fund the infrastructure to cope with snow? ..... whistlewink

Here's some video of Captain Cadillac and some other Americans driving to work in the snow as normal in their fine-handling and tasteful automobiles:

I send a Continental flight to EWR everyday and today was the worst in a long time for cancelled connections. There can't be a hotel room left empty in NYC tonight.

I'm south of CC, we have escaped most of this years snowfall until today infact I think the Southern states have had more than us.

However my wife is suggesting I go out and locate the newspapers as she wants to do the crossword. They are currently located under about 5" of snow.
I had a peek out the window and decided on one more cup of coffee, then give up the computer so she can play solitaire.

That's the plansmile

Ah my neigbour has just fired up his snow blower, I wonder if he is feeling benevolent.

Actually the further north I drove this morning the lighter the snow got. We got 8" where I live when I left this morning, 12 miles north in Rockland County, NY we barely got 4 or 5", but it's windy as all hell and started snowing again around 10am our time... they say up to another 5".

Didn't see it and nothing on BBC or Met sites apart from slight risk in Scotland.
