Caution Monday Pointless Post.

Right. So i'm at work. I use the term work very lightly as all i seem to do these days is spend my entire day on the internet either looking at stuff i've seen a hundred times or messing about on forums.

I should be spending the time learning new stuff about my industry, i certainly have the time, but zero motivation to do so.

I don't normally do these posts, as well, it's the internet etc.

But, how would you fill your day if you were in a similar position?

Perhaps it's time for a new job...

Anyway, i'll await any answers before i exclaim that i'm feeling better about posting this..

Well, redundancies were announced on Thursday last week, we don't find out who is being made redundant until this Tursday so productivity around here is at an all time low right now.

I'm going to bring some technical reading material in tomorrow and make use of my spare time, i've spent most of the day browsing for jobs and reading PH. Not the best way to keep my job, but as the developer with the least amount of experience i've resigned myself to the fact i'll be one of the redundancies come Thursday.

Sad to hear mate.

In 11 years of IT, i've been made redundant twice.

I should be getting my skills up to date, and then applying for more technical jobs.

I'm a 'consultant' whatever that means these days, and as such you find yourself pressing less and less buttons as time goes on. Which also makes getting back into a technical role more difficult, and even more so for the same money.

Now now. No need for insults.

I'll admit that perhaps the wording of it could have been a little more sensitive, but oh well.

And no, it's not that nice really. It's very boring, and whilst i agree it's effectively money for nothing, i'd rather be complaining that i'm too busy.

Yours,

Cock.

No one else will read this from here. That's a certainty.

And on the DVLA, i feel your pain, the last two vehicles i've bought, one bike, one car, the previous owner hasn't done the right thing, resulting in me having to get the V5 myself.

Hoping this won't make you more angry Rotary, but you know you can tax a vehicle using the New Keepers Supplement (think its Section 11 - the green slip), up to 3 months after a change of keeper?

I managed to tax my car 6 months after purchase without a V5. I just took a trip to the local DVLA office and they sorted it out for me. I think i had to pay for a new V5, but was able to tax the car that day.

Appart from noone told me this till after i sent off the suppliment with the form i had to fill in to claim the v5 myself, because the stupid ginger tt appears to not even have passed his sats grade engilish tests to fill in a bloody form.

Out of curiosity, how did you know he was ginger, and did he actually threaten to come round to your house?

Err i met him when i got the car off him. And ive got a text saying call me or ill just come round to your house. And im pretty sure if he sets foot on my property, i "felt my life was in danger" and i just happened to have been working on my car with a crowbar, i could tt him over the head with it.

Some people are utter cocks tand the dvla couldnt give 2 flying fks that ive got a car ive not been able to drive for a month, just as long as they get thier money mad

Ah i see. I thought you were on about the DVLA monkey.

Also, the last car i had i managed to tax it with only the green slip and a form sent off to DVLA with the green slip seen the V5 land on my door step quite promptly.

Theres an argument over a private plate. When i got the car, the ginger tt said he was sending off the v5 with a form to claim the private plate and when i got the v5, itd be on normal plates. Fair enough, he said itd be fine to use the private plates until i got the new v5. Except he never sent anything off, that or the tit couldnt write mad
Anyways a month passes and im almost out of tax + patience, so i send off a SORN declaration + a form to claim the v5 (sent sorn off so he wouldnt get fined as it was in his name), and was just going to put with having no car for a week or 2 whilst the paperwork is done. Its now been a month, and dlva say they have to give upto 6 weeks to let this cockbag claim the plate, becuase i put the form in under the original reg.
Turns out ginger tt never claimed the plate, DLVA have contacted him and now hes going mad saying ive stolen it from him etc.

Well thats the last time im ever putting up with private polate bks, or ginger tts mad
