I need to begin hunting for a new job and my CV has become a bit of a mess. I've seen a lot of CV writing services advertised on the web with an equal number of negative comments about the service they offer.

So, has anyone here actually used one that was really good? How much did they charge? Was the finished product noticeably different? Did it get you more interviews?

If there are any recruitment specialists on here that can offer some advice, please do... or PM me.

Mail me. I used to do it for a living and still do a bit. If I can't help, then I can maybe help with some advice.

I used Craig at Career Partner. Around £400, worth every penny. Almost invariably shortlisted, a decent number of interviews. Got my 5 page CV to 2 pages, I've had compliments from agents and employers about it. He did me a cover letter for that as well, which seems to help get noticed too. And up to 4 updates a year, and a top bloke.

£400 to write a CV... I'm obviously in the wrong business!

I submitted my details etc to one of these companies and the result I got back was disgusting . Honestly you would be better off having a derangenged woodlouse do it for you in my opinion!
