mobile network , help required

my neice will be studying in paris for 12 months . she needs to find the best network for calling the uk .

not sure if skype is convenient .

contract or payg?

could anybody please help ?

Orange internet with a landline giving free calls at all time,s to Europe and some other parts of the world. That is about 35 euros a month so could be a bit expensive for a student maybe.
