I keep seeing that French tollbooths are being removed and lots of signs saying you have 72 hrs to pay motorway fee's, along with loads of cameras on overhead gantry to record your number plates etc Reports of Emovis tag so just beeped as we went under the camera's to pay.

Anyone Local know anything about this at all?

If you have a toll tag then it will just beep occasionally and you haven't got to do anything.
If you haven't then it's a bit like the Dart Charge or the congestion charge.

Slowly, slowly France is considering joining the modern world and abandoning the daft concept of toll booths on motorways.

If you have a Bip & Go or similar you do need to ensure that the registration number of any of the vehicles you might use it on are entered into the system.

The tags can be swapped between vehicles - the number plates are not. So both our tags now cover all the cars we own. Otherwise thigs can get tricky!

I have a Bip and go. Other people have told me that they registered their car and van numbers. I just logged onto my account, but their isn't anywhere for me to enter this. I have a van, car and motorbike on the same tag without problems.
