Hi, can anyone advise on a model of code reader for a 54 reg 93 TiD 150? The device would need to cope with traction control and Abs faults, not just the more basic info. As a bonus, if the device could also be used on a 51 reg 95 Aero that would be very helpful!

Any advice much appreciated, thank you.

Torque app on an android phone should be able to read and decipher codes from an OBDII port on the 93, unsure on the 95 though thumbup

Enhanced manufacturer specific tools are quite expensive, what is your budget?

Hi, I was hoping to pick something up on eBay for less than £50. Beyond that, it's probably easier to get a diagnostic check via a garage, I guess?

you can buy a perfectly useable code reader for that but enhanced coverage such as abs etc will cost a lot more.

I had a generic code reader that refused to talk to my old saab 9-3, my friend had another model of generic code reader that also refused to talk to it!

Was told that you need a tech-2 system to talk to a saab, not sure how true that is

Torque pro app finds no codes on mine. Saab dealer finds plenty (fan/TC and CIM)
