Excellent run

Just spent a week driving round Scotland – truly an excellent blat round fantastic roads!

Started off on Monday Manchester to Bridge of Orchy
Tuesday up to Gairloch, Wednesday to Tongue, Thursday to Inverness Friday, Edinburgh, Saturday back to Manchester.

The highlands are some of the best roads ever (even better than the alps) and all with fantastic scenery.

Main problem was keeping it topped up as in the highlands filling stations are few and far between opening only 9 – 5 with a brake for lunch.

Must say in some of the smaller villages was a bit like arriving in a flying saucer with people coming out to visit the hotel car-park.

Now slightly deaf with sun / windburn

Thinking of doing it all again soon!
