Hi Chaps

I have been under my motor today and after much sweat and tears I have fitted my de-cat pipe. What I want to know is does anyone have the Eliseparts S1 exhaust fitted to ther car either with/without the cat?

Is the fitment any good i.e do the pipes locate well in the clam centre and are the pipes adjustable like the janspeed ones?

Also does it use the existing hangers?

many thanks

Paul

No idea on the fitting as I got someone else to do mine for me. I still have the cat fitted on mine and it is still loud.

I have a K&N 57 filter and with the Eliseparts 'zorst it sounds just as loud as a Janspeed with a crp.

Someone on the British Cars site fitted one and then put a CRP on which lasted about 2 hours as it was just too loud.

I would leave the cat in and see how you get on.

hmmmm - I don't use the car day to day so I'm sure the noise will be ok to live with. Just been looking at the Chris Neil exhaust system and that looks quite nice too..... oh and it's a bit less expensive than the Eliseparts system.

Has anyone got the Chris Neil system fitted without the cat in place?

I've fitted lots of elise zorsts.

The elise parts is very adjustable, repackable, straight through, fully stainless, big bore, but bloody noisy with the cat out.

The Chris Neils is a bit farty sounding - the janspeed is somewhere in the middle - nice fit and quality.

Are you a memeber of the british-cars bbs? lots on exhausts in the archive over there.

cheers
Bruce

Has anyone had experience of the Torque Techniques exhaust from Salisbury. Apparently he used to supply Haydon's. Its a stainless unit made in-house and a snip at £260.

Was wondering if anyone had heard one? Mr Torque Techniques reckoned it is less boomy but has a deeper note than the Janspeed.

Thanks for the advice chaps

I think i'm gonna head for the Chris Neil zorst as it looks well made and quite easy to fit and comes in at less than £400 inc VAT

Anyone gonna tell me this is NOT the exhaust to buy?

Had a sports exhaust made and fitted by torque technique in Salisbury today. I have finally and officialy entered the land of mods .

Lovely sound - smooth and bassy and Im told the note will improve over the next couple of months. Full stainless, big bore, cheaper than any other exhaust I could find and half the weight of the Janspeed.

Im a happy chappy
