My 135R is almost run-in and I think the time has come for a change of exhaust, my question is what do you guys recomend as a good replacement as in sound and performance. Also I don't want to cause any warranty issues.
Thanks for any advice.
Steve.

the official Lotus Magnex jobbie has a nice deep sound - not as cheap as some aftermarket ones - about £450 I think...thats what I have on my car

Larini is nice apparently too.

Avoid Janspeed imho, but then again some like it.

Dont get the Lotus one if you want it to last !

Just found out today (after mine has started blowing @45K miles/2 years old) that Lotus only warranty them for 12K miles/12 months !

if you buy aftermarket stainless exhausts they usually come with a lifetime warranty - Id get a Larini or Bell-colvill - and will be doing shortly

Thanks for your advice bogie. I thought the Lotus exhaust was stainless? anyway once again thanks, at least I know now what NOT to buy. I have heard the Larini one on here via sound files, anyone know what the bell-colvile one sounds like?

I've got a B&C which sounds pretty good (as far as Elise exhausts go...), but I'm not 100% they make it any more. Hmm still on their site though :

Only thing about the Larini I'm not convinced about is that I don't think it has rolled ends. Would look a bit pap

I fitted a Larini to my elise S2 111s and it sounds fantastic. Easily the best I have heard. However it was 98 Db at Goodwood and that was just on the limit for a track day there. It was not as easy to fit as expected and they had to send me a second system as the first was bent in transit. The firm were very helpful. The K series used to sound crap now it sounds great. I can recommend it.

How was the fitment of the Larini? I saw pics of it fitted in another thread and it looks amazing but it never had the grills in the rear diffuser. did you have this problem or was the picture taker 2 lazy to put the grills back on i wonder? hummmmmmmm

Sounds the Dog's danglies!

Oi!!! That was me ya bugger!

I was the first to fit in the UK and had some issues with pipe alignment which is why the grills weren't fitted. The guys at Larini sorted things quickly by re-designing the bend of the tail pipe section to allow more vertical movement.

Rob
