Tyres and tyre pressure

Does anyone know if using different tyres requires different tyre pressure other then the book recommended
23ppsi[F], 24.5ppsi[R 205] / 27.5ppsi[R 225] for the Pirellis?

I'm currently running Bridgestone S-03's....

As long as they are the same size as the standard, the standard pressure will be fine but most people find there is room for experimenting a bit - I just run mine at the pressures in the manual though as .5 psi will make nad all differenec with my amateurish driving attempts but I do notice a difference if they are uneven side to side.

Agreed - mine were off the other day after leaving the car for a week without use (on hols). The thing felt really wierd until I had it levelled off.

Once back in tune though it feels great as ever.

I think there was a thread around on this before on here or SELOC....

I asked the same question when I had my Elise serviced - he said that it's the size that counts ..so my Yokos are at book pressure and that feels about right.

Actually after the service they were over pressurised and the back end felt very 'loose'/lively until I put them back down again..now feels nice and stable at the back end again.
