I have just recently bought a lotus elise s1. I noticed when locking the car up that the front right headlight has come lose from the headlight surround complete with the bracket. Does anyone know what substance I should use to stick the bracket back to the car, or how I should go about doing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Many thanks
Chris

If you check out the lighting section of www.eliseparts.com they sell replacement headlight brackets, which come complete with "poly adhesive" to stick them in place.

I guess if you don't have any luck with a definite response here, you could try contacting Eliseparts to see if they would supply you with some glue.

Hope this helps,

Many thinks work but the essential thing is to make sure the old bracket is clean first . . . and by clean I mean clean, bare metal . . . angleground in other works . . . you can get some sikaflex (what Lotus Use) from CFS glassfobre supplies (google for them) I've used plastic metal in the past that has held until now . . . no adhesive will work on a rusty bracket . . . for any length of time . . .

Thanks for all the help, but how do I get the headlight surround out? As I don't want to damage the car.

not sure what you mean by 'headlight surround' . . .

you simply stick the headlamp bracket (steel thing) back onto the inside of the clam (bodywork) with some glue . . . gain access to the area by pulling back the inner wing liner (black plastic stuff) with the wheels on full lock . . .
