S2 values after damged?

Depends how much and if it realy was a new not just bent back - if it checks out on the geo and the work is good then it could be a bargin - but remember it will still be a pig to sell when you want to get rid.
I would be thinking 'well checked out' and 'a car I'm going to keep for a long time' and a 'very low price'.

An alternative view for what its worth.
I worked on 2/3 of the private value when I bought my damaged/repaired S1 over the last couple of weeks.
Its a 2000 car but fully rebuilt in 2001 on a new chassis with documented build and all relevant paper work (SVA etc.). Also has Exige type alloys (but 17" and 18"!), K&N, SS exhaust, Cd Player with amp & sub etc., momo wheel and snap off boss, FSH (last service only a few hundred miles ago) & low miles. It had a chip/scuff in the rear bumper which I'm having repaired by a local very competant but inexpensive bodyshop (basically repair and respray the rear clam).
Total cost after this will still be > £10k and it is mint other than the usual seat edge and sill cover wear so I'm well happy and will be keeping it for sometime as weekend toy.
As others have said though consider how long you want to keep it (it will look dodgy if selling it on after a few months), how much of a bargain it really is as you'll have to sell it on very cheap in order to shift it on again. Also consider what you want to do with it. A thorough inspection is also a must really.
Finally if cash isn't a concern then probably give it a miss as you'll pay more but also get more back when you sell if you buy a non damaged/repairable.
