How many of you lotus lads have replaced the stalks with aftermarket ones?

Thought that not many people buy them as people are put off from fitting them- you have to cut your olds ones off, which for some people is a bit daunting!

IF you havent bought them, is it because of the cutting off the old ones, or just that you dont like the design??

Cheers
Dave

Don't worry about cutting off the stalks, I did it on my previous car (TVR) and my S1.

All you have to do is roll back the rubber sleeve cut the stalk off with a junior hacksaw blade, slide the ali stalks over & tighten the allan nuts.

Yep, done this as well, but when looking around at 2nd hand TVRs or S1/S2 elises, not that many of them have replaced the stalks, but they have fitted a aluminium handbrake!

Wondered if people were a bit afraid of cutting off the old stalks and this was putting people off from this upgrade?
