Whenever I turn right in my Elise theres a really annoying, quite loud, squeaking noise which sounds like its coming from the actual steering wheel. Its starting to annoy the hell out of me but don't have a clue what it is!

The warranty on my car runs out in December so was thinking about taking it to the dealers. But this means taking days off work, sorting courtesy car, etc.

If anyone has/had similar problem please let me know!

Cheers...James

I had what sounds like the same problem when I first had my S2. For me it was simply the plastic steering column surround rubbing against the steering wheel. It only did it at certain steering angles. I had it fixed at the first service I had done which I presume simply involved removing and refitting the surround.

its either the column shroud or a grommet under there - easily fixed as above or with some lube...mine does it all the time, gets lubed/fixed every service...then comes back again about 8.5Kmiles later !
