Hello All,

I was wondering if you could do me a favour and let me know what the elise is like after 60mph against some larger engined cars.

My friend claims to have kept up with an elise on the motorway in a 306 GTi 6.
And I remember things being pretty close when I was driving a Carlton GSi 50mph - 100mph.

Just wondering if these are true or just the elises weren't trying!!

Thanks
Mark.

The standard 118bhp elise will run out of steam after 80mph so your comments are correct. Straight line speed isn't really the Elise's raison d'etre.

Thanks for that!

Just a little argument I got involved with, ha ha!! and was looking for a little evidence!

I have a cerbera now anyway so wasn't really important,

I bet the elsie is a great track car mind, and the 0-60mph + mpg are certainly impressive!!

Hi there,

I won't put exact speed and I'm still running my 111R in but I'm sure I'd blow a 306 Gti away, I only rev it to 4500 rpm and it's more than enough to see off most car's without even trying, once it's been run in I'll be able to give it a proper test but like what's already been posted, you'd be laughing through the lane's
