Does anyone out there in PH land have some good pics of the brake discs and hubs for an elise?? I'm interested in the front and rear discs and the front and rear hubs.

Also, are there any brake differences between elise S1, sport 190, exige, S2, 111R, etc?

I'm contemplating a brake upgrade for the Europa, and thought this would be a neat way to go.

yes, give me a mail address and I can mail you whaever.

in simple terms, Elise S1 had either Ali uprights or cast steel ones, exige/340R had the steel ones (they are interchangeable).

S2 have different cast steel ones as do the current 111R's (these also have different wheel bolt patterns and offsets from S1)

You might also find the workshop manual and parts list helpful.

I have these in PDF format for the S1 if you are interested, but I don't know how to isolate just the pages you need, and the full PDF documents are quite large. E-mail me off-list if you want me to send you copies, though.

Thanks guys!

If you could just email me through my profile that would be great.

There is a 'graphics select tool' in adobe that could be used to copy pictures from the workshop pdf individually.

I didn't realize the S2/111R have a different PCD, that was part of the reason to use Elise bits, as the Europa has the 4x3.75 PCD as well.

I've never seen a good pic of an elise upright, so I was wondering if there would be a way to utilize it on the Europa, as opposed to building a bracket to hold the caliper. I would guess not, but would like to see a picture of one.

As for the brake disc, any idea on the approximate 'depth' of the bell? (distance from bolt circle face to actual brake disc)

Thanks,
Gary

bad news,

if you are planning on useing the uprights with the exsisting wheels, forget it, the offsets for the Elise (S1) are very low, nothing like anything else.

The disks are almost flat, as in no bell.

Well, I'm using Elise wheels, so I should be ok with the offset. In fact, that would be much easier to work with, than a disc that is pulled back from the bolt mounting surface.

Thanks!
