Thinner number plate for Elise

Does anyone know where I can buy a “thin” registration plate? I’ve a UK standard reg plate on the Elise and it’s too deep. It hangs below the number plate plinth and catches on the roadway each time I leave my driveway, making a god-awful noise.

I’m sure I’ve seen “thinner” number plates (about the depth of the plinth), but I’ve been searching all morning for people supplying these and can find nothing. I realise such a plate may cause a problem come MOT time, but that’s easily sorted if I keep the old one.

An exciting topic I grant you - and if this has come up before, apologies I couldn’t locate searching with my phone.

Any pointers welcome.

I use fancyplates.com
Go to their showplates section where you can enter the dimensions of any size plate you require. If you want standard font and the BS, postcode etc at the bottom then add this in the notes text box.

No connection with them other than a satisfied customer.

I use a standard plate but with all the bits other than the numbers trimmed off. Just avoids scraping.
