Evening folks

Does anyone know of a a gear linkage upgrade kit for a 2009 S2 Elise (2ZZ SC Model). My gear change is getting a bit grumpy and I wondered if there are any options out there.

Thanks

Brian

Evening Brian

There are two main options

I have the shiftr111+ (second link) ultimate kit, so comes with upgraded.cables, reinforcer, short shifter and gear knob.

Totally transformed the shift to what it should have been in the first place, lovely to use, never miss a gear, worth every penny

I made my own version of the reinforcement plate with spacers to go between the floor and gear stick bracket. This is where most of the flex comes from. Oem cables that get a squirt of ptfe lube now and then, but if yours are tired then updated ones are available from multiple sources.

Thanks for the replies. I have just moved house so unfortunately for now, the full replacement kit is out of my budget. Can anyone point me to a cable update kit? I have only seen K-Series ones for sale so far and none for the 6 speed with Toyota engine.

Thanks

Brian

Definitely this set, but also change gearbox fluid to Redline MT-90 , and add powerflex engine mount also that combo should improve the shift feel and accuracy until you can swop the shifter out.

Has anyone bought ( and fitted ) one of these ?

Fitting firmer engine mounts made a big difference to mine.

Agreed, even just the EliseParts lower engine mount makes a huge difference - c£50 well spent.

As above, engine mounts made a world of difference to mine (year ago now!), especially on track.

It will make the car slightly less civilised, mostly noticeable as vibration at idle, but worth it in my opinion.
