I've just received a request to organise 3 Elises to chauffeur my cousin and two of her friends on prom night. High school that is, so don't go getting any ideas.

Anyway, the request is for 3 Elises, preferably one each of red, white/silver and blue, to safely deliver three passengers in Wimborne (Dorset) on 1st July, arriving in convoy. £20 (each) for 10 minutes "work". I'd provide the blue one myself, if it weren't for the distance between here and there.

No more details at this stage.

I'd possibly be up for doing this.

Iceblue any good to you? http://matt.unitedhosting.co.uk/lotus/2.jpg

Thanks for the offer Matt.
I don't think the colouring is critical, as long as they're all different.

Whether this happens or not relies on them getting 3 cars (otherwise they'll just go for the more traditional Roller or stretched limo).

I'll have to get back to you a bit nearer the time.

Just a thought - will Elise's really be a sensible mode of transport considering the ladies attire?

Getting in and out of a 'liz with trousers on even with the roof off is a bit of a do, let alone a skirt or dress... I doubt they'd be able to retain a modicum of decorum even if they wanted to, especially if dresses are short-ish!

....and that's before you even think about them messing up their neatly coiffed hardo's which they will no doubt have had done prior to said big event. With the roof off they'll turn up looking like they've had their hair done by a candyfloss salesman!

I could be able to help out, I'm off on the 1st July. Mine's a S2 in Ardent Red if that helps. Drop me an e-mail by all means. I live in Hants so an evening drive down to Dorset would be quite nice!

I was wondering about that one myself - I'll ask the question.

I may yet make the trip myself - haven't seen that half of the family for a while...

Wimboring is just round the corner from me so bear me in mind and let me know closer to the time. If I'm around Ill offer my azure S1 happily. Should have a sports exhaust by then to acousticaly enhance their arrival.

Do I have to get penguined up too though?

Not sure - probably not, but I'll add that to the list of questions to ask.

If you mean 'buy a Lotus', that's a very generous but unncessary offer!
But if that's not what you meant

Fair enough, I retract the

I've sent her an email, suggesting she tries climbing out of the bath through an imaginary 50cm door opening, so she may well decide to set her sights higher (in a vertical sense)

Having been in and out of TVR's a fair few times doing test-drives the exit will be almost as ungraceful... unless TVR now do a Chelsea Tractor that I don't know about or yours is a low-rider which can pop-up on its springs

TVR sound track is mmmmmmm tho, I'll grant you that! I laugh like a demented child everytime I hear one

Good point - I guess climbing down from an RAC truck would be easier!

Shuts up fast because he's done the same recently with the 'liz

a lady wearing a skirt getting over the sills of a liz as against simply stepping out of any low sports car. Yes, its not a graceful as climbing out of a saloon. But if its all about stepping out of the car gracefully then I'll offer my Rover.

The sills on the liz are the ungraceful part. Mine doesnt have the floorplan so far below the sill and the sill isnt as wide.

offer is there if you want it. Of course, it will probably break down as your King of Originality has pointed out. How are the head gaskets on the K series S1's? ouch.

I know from experience they are made with the same weetabix/maple syrup mix that engineered the finger followers on the Tuscan. Mine went on the F.

Weather looking good for the weekend mate - will keep an eye out along the A32

Trying to muscle in on the meet on Sunday at the moment - it's a good route IIRC. So unless anyone objects, I'll see you Sunday??

Surely the dashing gallant knights will be able to scoop up the young ladies out of the car in their strong embrace (copywrite Mills & Boon).

Or possibly re read my post just before Christmas on me getting my drunken (female) boss out of an Elise.
She has never looked me in the eye since.
