Windscreen Wiper Mech

I've just broken one of the bars in the windscreen wiper mech while washing my car (caught the wiper blade with the sponge!). Does anybody have any idea if the wiper mech is from another car, as if I go to lotus it's bound to cost!

Any ideas welcome.

I have read somewhere that the motor is from a Citroen AX, may be worth a look. Be interested to hear if this is correct.

This may sound a bit mad, but I read somewhere that it's a Lucas mechanism and is also used in the outgoing Roller.

Lotus quoted £300 plus to replace the unit (as the parts are no available separatly!) so I'm of to B&Q to buy the parts to make a new bar myself!
