Academy course
Discussion
Hello everyone
You will have noticed that there is a Level One academy course on Friday 24th June at Donington.
As I mentioned to some of you at the induction day, I have completed this course and I must stress just how beneficial it was.
Fantastic instruction, which is better because of the format of using briefings and then going out to practice your learnings. Not only that, everything you learn is documented in a folder, which you take away with you for future reference.
I would HIGHLY recommend it to all of you. I have already asked Stephen to book me on the Level Two course.
For the money, which includes the track day, it is an absolute bargain. Also, you can use a Track Club car at a massive discount.
Go on, you know you wanna!!

OK, we had four club members on the course at Donington, the weather didn't do us any favours with the morning monsoon but at least it dried up in the afternoon.
I'd appreciate any feedback from those who did the course, ultimately do you think it made you a better, faster, smoother driver?
I also noticed that there may have been pages 15 & 16 missing from some course material packs, if you are missing yours please drop me a note and I'll put them in the post.
Subject to interest we may try and do a level 2 course at Donington on the 12th September or Silverstone on 24th August (although the latter is an expensive day as it is unrestricted full GP circuit).

I thought the track academy course was excellent. The training means probably about one-third less on-track time, but the time spent in the classroom is well worthwhile.
Paul's explanations of racing jargon was pitched very at the perfect level for novices without boring those with more experience, and his in car tuition cut months from my lap times (not that I was timing anything, ahem!). The Pug was an excellent choice for the course -- particularly compared to the others with the mid-engined Elise and Exige around Donington in torrential rain.
I'm seriously considering the level 2 course at Silverstone, and I've already submitted my booking form to Stephen. Bring it on!

Subject to interest we will run a Level 2 Course at Silverstone on the 24th August and for those who haven't done level 1 yet we can either run a course at Bruntongthorpe on a suitable date or at Brands Hatch on the 17th Aug. These will all be £395 due the high track fees on these dates.
