Garmin 1690 speed camera alert?

Anybody know how to turn on the speed camera alert function on this bloody thing!

It came with the car. The quick-start manual doesn't mention speed camera alert/locations, but various sites on the internet say it *does* offer this function. I used it for the first time the other day and went past half dozen or so speed camera sites but the device didn't bat an eyelid. It does show the speed limit of the road you are traveling on, and the actual speed you are going though. The speed camera function would be nice

From the start screen, press tools, settings, proximity points. You'll see alerts and a button that says change. Press that and it gives you the option to enable/disable the safety cameras.

If your maps out of date, it may not activate when passing some cameras.
