Any garmin nuvi owners? help please!

Hi, I have a garmin nuvi 1300, great sat nav, does everything except bluetooth. My problem is, for the life of me, I cannot get my pc to recognise it, have tried 3 different machines, 2 laptops 1 desktop each with a different OS (win 7 vista and XP) downloaded garmin driver pack, used different browsers etc etc!

I can see it as a mass storage device with a mini sd card inserted (does not show as a garmin though) I just want to update the maps and maybe add a new voice.. I know this is a common problem but as yet I cannot find a fix.

Is there a way to do it through the card? It never came with one when I bought it so would I need to create a folder?

(have tried 2 different cables too)

Call Garmin in office hours - they're actually quite helpful and answer the phone promptly.

Thankyou for the number, will give them a try. Sick of my pratnav sending me up one way dead end streets!
