Tom Tom One lost Europe

My old Tom Tom One suddenly 'lost' Europe just as I was about the head off for France.

Logging on to the website, I was informed it was a 'legacy device' and unsupported i.e. tough luck mate!

Any idea how Europe could disappear and how I could get it back?
