Does TYRE work on TomTom for the iPhone?

So, I currently use Waze which I find pretty good what with the live traffic updates, but it's biggest let down is the lack of route planning, plus it eats data when on the move.
If I add the TomTom app to the my iPhone, will TYRE work on that as it would on a proper TT?
Tried Apple and TomTom help sites and dedicated fora without luck

AFAIK .itn files will only work on older TomTom units. I bought an XL 18 months ago when I found out they were removing the itinerary function from the menu.

Having said that I've never used the app so let's see if any users can tell me I'm wrong

TomTom on the iphone does not allow you to load (.itn) route files. Not all Tom Tom stand alone units do either.
