Hi

Looking for a decent unit that can be updated that will do as much of the above. So far I have been told: get an alpine or kenwood head unit with BT & iPod then get a snooper and road hawk. Any other suggestions? No idea how much I need to spend to get something decent but not crazy. Presume you can't get aftermarket BOSE or Bower Wilkins?

Thanks

I've just had a Sony XAV 601 multimedia unit fitted, with the TomTom nav module.

It's works really well, the Tom Tom has a one year speed camera update bundled FOC, and the hands free phone system integrates via bluetooth. An iPod plugs into the front via the original Apple USB cable.

How about get anything that takes bluetooth and a samsung galaxy note 2. I have mine in a dock and have it simultaneously running spotify , a black box video recorder, google navigation (which updates traffic from other users in real time) and can still place a call via voice commands.

Get a bit warm and you'll need to keep it on power lead.

Head unit just needs an amp. smile

The only thing missing is poi for cameras but theres probably an app for that.

I think you'll find android get updated more frequently than head units.
