Mine announces some and just puts a popup on screen for others which are mostly missed as they are silent. Android S24.

It depends on the speed I believe. If you're over the limit then you get the full alert and if you're under then it's just a silent notification.

Here in Norfolk it's just been announced that they are rolling out 'noise cameras'. I'm not a 'popper/banger' but I do have a relatively loud V8. I'm hoping Waze will alert on those too...anyone know?

No alerts for cameras when traveling under what it thinks the speed limit is with mine.

I believe in other countries they do actually have this function, it would be useful - I used to have a tomtom unit and that did warn you for everything unless you were crawling along in traffic.

Tomtom Amigo gives audible alerts whether you're over or under the limit. Not sure if Waze does this, but it even tells you what your average speed was in average speed camera zones. Been reasonably impressed with it.

They can now be added to Waze by map editors with the appropriate rank.

I've been using it for a couple of months and have also found it good for pinpointing cameras irrespective of your speed. The average speed through zones feature is particularly useful too. Would recommend at least a try-out.

I think you can change the setting to notify you of speed cameras even if you are driving within limits. Although when driving on roads I’m familiar with this does get annoying (hence why I keep it on default).

I think they have changed the default setting, mine used to tell me about all of them, regardless of speed, it now only tells me if I am above the limit.

Mine now doesn't seem to know about the ones in the Borders. However, the cameras themselves almost all had "not in use" bags over their heads, so maybe that's why.
