CTEK MSX 5.0 on a 1 hour daily schedule
Discussion
One of my cars is having to go into storage.
I normally keep it on a MSX 5.0 using the AGM function matching its battery.
The storage company tells me they allow power to the area my car will be located in, for 1 hour a day for battery conditioning .
Will the 1 hour a day charging schedule work with a MSX 5.0 or should I obtain a basic charger?

That'll be fine.
a) your battery should not be dropping more than about 0.1v in 24 hours. Normally less unless there is a drain.
b) Your Ctek resumes charging the previous mode after a power cut and reconnection (many, many "smart" chargers don't do this)
c) your charger goes up to 5 amps which is way more than you need in an hour to catch up with any small loss in teh previous 23 hours.
This is sadly a reflection on the current state of EV owners. A friend lets out holiday cottages and he's jumping through hoops trying to stop guests trailing a cable out the window and charging their EVs whilst they are there, and they do it a lot, regardless of notices and terms.
They probably also need to stop people running heaters or dehumidifiers.
