Having renewed my AA membership it seemed sensible to at least have a look at the other benefits on offer.

amongst them was a device called Vixa - it (apparently) monitors your car's health for £4/mth. I wondered if this was any better than just waiting for the bong of doom & light on dash, or if it's any better than the BM scanner I already have.

You could easily buy a code reader that will do all that if you plug it in every now and again for the yearly cost.

You could probably do it for a months payment on Aliexpress. Its amazing the stuff people subscribe to.

My view is that Vixa would flag something up to the AA, and if you ignored it and you broke down, they would refuse to cover it. Cynical moi?
