CarPlay LVDS error

I fitted an Apple CarPlay from AliExpress for five years ago and now reverse camera won’t work as apparently the unit is not talking to MMI anymore. It’s something to do with the LI fitted an Apple CarPlay from AliExpress 4-5 years ago and now reverse camera won’t work as apparently the unit is not talking to MMI anymore. It’s something to do with the LVDS has failed. Can this be repaired if I send the screen away?

It may be repairable, but it depends on what's failed. Before sending the screen off, I'd bypass or disconnect Car Play module and reconnect the factory LVDS cable to see if the reverse camera works normally. That will tell you whether the fault is in the aftermarket Car Play box or the factory MMI /display.
