Minimum vehicle requirments?

I'm interested in doing the IAM/ROSPA advanced riding (motorbike) course. Two reasons - 1. To get more comfident. 2. At some point I fancy giving blood biking a go and they usually demand it.

However I can't find minimum vehicle standards?

To the extreme if I turned up on a 50cc scooter could I do the course on that?

Bike must be capable of maintaining NSL speeds where appropriate.
