Can anyone please advise the cost of a Volvo extended warranty for a 3 year old XC60 T8 Phev? Thanks in advance.

No-one seems to have replied to this, and mine is not quite the same, but Ibought a 3 year old approved used XC60 T8, and after the year's warranty was up, my extended warranty quote at around 4YO was £230 per MONTH, and over £2300 as a lump sum.

Needless to say, I didn't take it up and traded it in shortly after, as it's not the type of car I'd want to run out of warranty (mine was the 2020 version with the Supercharger, Turbo, Petrol and Electric Motor, with pretty much every extra like pan roof, adaptive crusie etc. so lots to go wrong!).

Not sure it shows Volvo have much faith in their T8s - I've recently got an extended warranty for a 520d which was £1000.

The wife’s just extended the warranty on her 3 year old electric Volvo, it was £440.

Thanks for that. It doesn't compare well with my Audi Q5 all in service plan, under £1000 for two years warranty, two years servicing , two MOTs and AA roadside assistance (for cars between 3 and 6 years old).

Just to add, she extended it as a couple of weeks ago the car had some battery coolant controller (or some bks) failure which would have cost £2.5k to fix if it was out of warranty.

There’s me thinking EVs will be more reliable than ICE cars, seemingly not. The problem her car had is quite common with Volvos apparently.

Also, Audi is transparent and advertise their prices, they're not top secret as with Volvo.

Theres a thread on this topic on the Volvo UK forum with example prices people have been quoted.

Seems like year 3-4 is often palatable, years 4 onwards climbs steeply in cost.

T6 and T8 hybrids more expensive than plain petrol or diesel. Mileage dependent as well.

Few garages that could resolve that, I imagine, other than main stealers.

I've got an XC60 - R-Design Pro (B5 Hybrid Petrol) - 70 plate. Last year my warranty was just over 600 pounds at year 5 (was 550 I think year 4). This years renewal just came in and its 700 ish (with 250 excess) and 900 ish without any excess - no mention of this previously when I purchased it.
