v70 drive shaft

Hi all, just a quick one I have a 2001 v70 t5 which needs a near side drive shaft......don't really want to go for second hand in case it goes again , anyway all the parts places down here in Devon seem to say the part is only available via Volvo at 320 plus vat......does this seem right. Thanks in advance
