Polestar 3 - cheaper when made in USA instead of China

Ahh, dodging the tariffs I hear you say but no - this is for Polestar 3's sold in Australia. Australia has free trade agreements with both China and the USA so these cars don't attract any tariff or duties either way. There's obviously a reason behind it which is Geely/Polestar business and we'll probably never know. But the fact that this has happened and has been openly acknowledged by someone in the know it makes you wonder what the production costs of other China-built cars are. Or how Polestar can do it in the USA but not in Sweden.
